20% Cooler Cupcakes

Hiya, everypony! I’m Cakepop, your residential fanpony. With all of the fun pony blogs out there, I decided to take it upon myself to create a master collection of pony oriented recipes, and I hope you’ll follow me through my adventure!

Please feel free to ask any questions you’d like to ask, suggest any recipes you’d like to suggest, and request any recipes you’d like to request! I want to find that perfect combination of ingredients that’ll make your taste buds soar like the Wonderbolts!

Let’s start off with a personal favorite of mine, Rainbow Cupcakes! Or, as I like to call it, HOW TO MAKE CUPCAKES 20% COOLER.

Ingredients:

Cake mix (Already mixed, so however you make your cake! Make the mix allll up! White works best, but I’ll elaborate below)
6 small cups
6 spoons
HIGH PIGMENT food coloring… The gel kind works super duper well, but the drop kind works alright if you’re in a pinch!

Step 1. Make your cake mix! (See Pinkie Pie’s song for a good set of instructions to start with!) White cake mix works best, but as I was out and can’t walk at the moment (a broken hoof, I’m afraid) I simply used yellow which turned out very well!

Step 2. Put equal (equal!) ((EQUAL!!!)) amounts of cake mix into each cup.

Step 3. Add each color you’ve chosen into separate cups, so you have one yellow cake mix cup, one red, ect. Make sure you mix them super duper bright, because the colors are going to lighten up a few shades when you bake ‘em!

Step 4. Ok, this is the hard part… Spoon each color (still separately!) into your cupcake cups/pans carefully. Layer the colors in your desired order (I messed up a little bit on this part, so it’s helpful to remember ROY G BIV if you wanna’ make an accurate rainbow!) and make SURE NOT TO STIR ‘EM unless you want a swirly mess of colors.

Step 5. After you’ve spooned equal amounts into each cupcake cup, be sure not to nock ‘em around on your way to your preheated oven! Toss ‘em in, turn on the oven, and ready yourself for a sonic rainboom of FLAVOR!
