Spike’s Fiery-Breath Guacamole
Don’t you just hate it when you’re cuddled up all nice and cozy in bed, not a care in the world, dreaming of your one true love, and you suddenly jolt awake and burp a letter from green flames?
If you’ve never experienced fire breathing before, now’s your chance! This super spicy guac will really get those taste buds revving and ready for some gem hunting. The recipe is majorly tweaked from a few different sources, and I’ve found that the cilantro really adds an authentic flare to it that I’ve not ever had in a guacamole before!

Ingredients:
- Avocados* (2)
- Cilantro (1/4 cup)
- Fresh LIME or LEMON juice (2 Tsp.)
- Onion (1/4 cup, finely chopped, just watch those hooves!)
- Serrano Peppers (2 large, seeded and chopped)
- Garlic cloves (1 and ½, finely chopped)
- Salt (1/4 Tsp.)
- OPTIONAL: Hot sauce to taste (If you’re feeling gutsy!)
This recipe is so easy, it doesn’t even necessarily require “steps.” Simply smoosh the avocados in a bowl with a fork and stir in the cut up ingredients and you’re ready to go! Just try not to spam the princess with too much at once!
*Ripen the avacados in a paper bag with a banana in it. The banana will release gases that will encourage the avocados to ripen much more quickly! And do be sure they’re not over ripened, as nopony likes a mushy brown avocado.
Another tip is to keep the pit of the avocados and stick ‘em into the guacamole when you store it in the refrigerator. I’ve heard it can keep your guac fresh another three days!
