My Little Recipes: Cooking is Magic

THAT’S RIGHT EEEEEVERYBODY! My human and I are having a giveaway to thank all five hundred+ of you amazing followers! We honestly never thought we’d get this far, so it’s time to CE-LE-BRATE!

((Funny story, I got this for one of my best friends for Christmas and since the printing company messed the original up, they sent me two, and it’s waaay too big for me, so let’s give it a home where it’ll get the love it deserves!))

Now, heads up, the colors are just a *little* bit wonky-lookin. It looks super “retro” for this reason, but the design is still about 20% cooler than any other shirt! ;3

Hiya again, everypony! After all of my mane nomming (so tasty!) I’ve been brainstorming some ideas and after that royal wedding in Canterlot that I keep hearing about and since I didn’t go, I figured I’d make a recipe about two of the bestest most best friends ever in the whole wide Ponyville, Misses Lyra and Bonbon!

Since Lyra has a really minty tail and Bonbon’s mane is so dark and puuuurdy, I’ve made this a very minty, chocolatey chunk of yum! Beware, these little guys are SUPER DUPER chocolatey! 

Ingredients:

• About 19 oz. thin mint cookies (I used an off brand kind and they still NOM)
• About 1/3 can super creamy chocolate frosting 
• Dark mint dipping chocolate
• Blue, green, pink, and white chocolate (The kind you can get at craft stores in the little disc shapes are soooo yummmmyyyy)

1. Smash up the thin mint cookies really well until they’re (roughly) a fine powder. ((I would recommend not putting them in a janky baggy and smashing them around on your back deck because it makes the neighbors stare and the cookies fly out of the bag and make fillies cry.))
2. Once they’re all powdery-whatsit, put ‘em in a big bowl and scoop about 4-5 liberal spoonfulls of the frosting into the bowl. Now’s the time to wash your hooves cuz’ it’s about to get messylicious!
3. Roll the frosting around the bowl of minty powdery cookie goodness until you get a giant chunk of nom that sticks together quite well. Be careful to not add too much frosting cuz’ it can take the minty flavor away.
4. Once the ball stays together, break off small bits into small balls, just about the size of gumballs. Place them on a sheet of parchment paper.
5. After all of the chocolate mush ball thingy is divided up into a buncha’ teeny tiny chocolate nommy balls, put your dark mint chocolate into a bowl and microwave in increments of 20 seconds. Stir between each heating and don’t overheat it!
6. Once the chocolate is niiiiiiice and silky smooth and hot, use your hooves to dip them generously into the chocolate. Upon lifting the balls out of the chocolate, shake them off a bit and plop them gently back onto the parchment paper. Let them cool.
7. Melt the other chocolate colors in separate dishes and pour each color into its own special pastry baggy. (A tightly rolled up baggy works well, too.) Now, here’s the hard part; Snip off just the teeeeeny tiniest eety beety eensie weensiest bit of corner off of the bag. Like, just the very very tip of the corner. Teeny weeny.
8. The hole should be SMALL!
9. Teeny hole. Seriously.
10. So, you’ve got your teeny hole cut… Now start drizzling the chocolate slowly over the cooled bonbons. As you do more, they’ll get easier and easier to decorate. Experiment like I did by dropping plops of chocolate over the top and then drizzling or anything your mind can think up! Have FUNZ! *wiggly arms*

So there ya’ have it… My faaavoritest most favorite treats! Big hint: Put lollipop sticks in ‘em and they become…. *dun dun dun duuuun* CAKEPOPS! Sooooooo goooooooOOOOOOoooOOOOood!

But I dapple in being a total Bronie. And for this, I will not even be apologetic. It’s not even my fault really. My kid watches it. My dog likes it. The wind turned on the TV. 

And since Apple Jack is my favorite pony, and I stay away from terrible Fan fiction (Except for BAD FAN FIC FRIDAYS) I made an Apple Jack cupcake! 

I am considering making more ponies. If only Google didn’t come up with that fan fic every. damn. time.

Did I forgeeeeeeet to mention that I’m a mane taster? Yeah, I like to see what maaaanes taste like because once, Pinkie Pie told me that Rainbow Dash tasted like a rainbow so I figured she must have been playing and her mane got in her mouth and she tasted it, so I better taste everypony else’s manes!
